Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser to support for Junior Achievement.

Junior Achievement Bowl A Thon

Through an annual company vote that determines the charitable organizations we support, the Freightquote team chose to volunteer time and contribute monetarily to Junior Achievement (JA). The nonprofit inspires young students to succeed in a global society.

Junior Achievement Bowl A ThonAbout 40 of our coworkers participated in Junior Achievement’s Bowl-A-Thon this spring to fundraise for the organization – our team raised over $9,000 for JA. The money raised goes directly to inspiring young people in Kansas City. JA believes in the boundless potential of our youth, and so do many on our team.

Julie Schaller, our Executive Director of Human Resources, recently shared her experience with the organization, “I am particularly passionate about Junior Achievement because it gives me the opportunity to teach children of all ages about skills they can carry with them throughout their lives. I love seeing the children’s faces light up and the excitement that comes through when they talk about what they want to be when they grow up. Junior Achievement makes learning fun, and the rewards for me as a volunteer are amazing!” Junior Achievement Bowl A Thon

This fall, we will sponsor a table at the Business Hall of Fame dinner and program. Junior Achievement hosts this event to honor the business leaders who shape Kansas City with their innovation. Our team also supports JA as classroom volunteers to teach their nationally recognized curriculum informing students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. The children that we’re helping are our city’s future.
