Freightquote.com makes the list for Fastest growing Entrepreneurial Companies in America

Overland Park, KS
June 1, 2003
Freightquote.com is named one of the top 100 fastest-growing new entrepreneurial companies in America in the June 2003 issue of Entrepreneur magazine. Tim Barton founded Freightquote.com in 1998 with 5 initial employees and 2 million dollars. Today, with a staff of 250 and $56 million in sales for 2002, freightquote.com is number five on Entrepreneur's Hot 100 list.

The 9th Annual Hot 100 listing of fast-growing new businesses was compiled by Entrepreneur Magazine with assistance from Dun & Bradstreet, the global business information giant. Entrepreneur collected information and financial statements from up-and-coming entrepreneurial companies in D&B's extensive database. Then, Entrepreneur measured each company's sales growth from the date of inception, listing the businesses in growth order.

Each company that was considered for Entrepreneur's Hot 100 list was founded no earlier that 1998, had more than $1 million in annual sales for 2002, and has a founder who is actively involved in daily operations with a controlling interest in the business. The complete story and listing can be found in the June 2003 issue of Entrepreneur magazine.
