New tools offer assistance to US Exporters and Canadian Importers

By integrating with A&A, Freightquote.com will offer a Pre-Arrival Review System (PARS), in which its carriers will transmit shipment information to A&A Contract Customs Brokers Ltd. prior to the shipments' arrival at the Canadian border or point of clearance. A&A will subsequently submit an electronic release to Canadian customs using information that the freightquote site captures during the scheduling process. Upon arrival, the driver provides a bar-coded document to customs. Customs officials then match the load to the transmission from A&A. If customs has no questions and no need to examine the shipment, the goods are released immediately.
The new enhancements will allow Freightquote.com's customers to:
1) Automate the Canadian Customs Invoice (CCI) during the scheduling process
2) Transmit required clearance information to A&A's expert brokerage staff
3) Realize quicker movement of goods across the border
4) Estimate applicable duties & taxes
5) Track and trace shipments through the border clearance process
