Chris Kolquist joined Freightquote as the company President in 2015. Chris offers a vast background in mergers and integrations as well as a strong understanding of the freight industry and experience in long-term strategy.
He heads the Freightquote team by positioning the company for continued growth. Chris drives success by developing talent, fostering strong relationships and nurturing enhanced capabilities with a focus on harnessing the expansive network of C.H. Robinson.
Chris joined C.H. Robinson in 2004 as the Director of Business Development, managing the company's merger and acquisition activities across the globe. During his tenure, Chris was also responsible for strategic planning, market and competitor analysis and supporting other investments across C.H. Robinson's divisions. Before joining Freightquote, he played an integral part in completing the acquisition by C.H. Robinson and subsequently led the integration activities between the companies.
Prior to joining C.H. Robinson, he worked as a finance manager at Best Buy Inc. His responsibilities included investment and capital strategies, enterprise planning, acquisition due diligence and integration support. Chris began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP, gaining experience in financial audits and acquisition due diligence.
Chris holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas.
Mark Fennewald joined Freightquote in 2008. Since joining the team, he’s been an instrumental leader in Information Technology, driving agility and continued innovation. Mark’s devotion to building great software is continuously demonstrated in the new products and services he delivers to Freightquote customers, the industry and the business.
Today, Mark leads the Freightquote arm of C.H. Robinson’s IT department. His team develops the technology behind Freightquote’s online self-service tools that create an unmatched customer experience when paired with the company’s freight experts.
Mark has spent the last 20 years building software. Prior to joining Freightquote, he was a project manager with H&R Block and held several technical leadership and management positions with Sprint where he started his career as a software engineer.
Mark holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
Mike Collins joined Freightquote in May 2012. He brings extensive experience in corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis.
In his role at Freightquote, Mike leads the development of financial planning, operational analysis and marketing strategy. He's also responsible for the analysis of key financial and operational performance metrics, developing and driving the long-term strategic planning processes and evaluating new business development opportunities.
Mike comes to us from SPX Corporation where he most recently was the Director of Global Business Development and previously served as a key member of their Global Financial Management team. During his tenure, Mike was responsible for various business initiatives, including establishing a joint venture in China and several global acquisitions and divestitures. These initiatives required extensive financial analysis and business planning. Prior to SPX, Mike was with Ernst & Young.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Accounting, with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Kansas.
Doug Grojean joined Freightquote in November of 2000. Prior to his current position, Doug held leadership roles that were drivers of company growth and development in several areas including, Information Technology, Corporate Analytics and Operations.
In his current role, Doug is responsible for crafting and carrying out initiatives to drive Freightquote's business, with focus on customer pricing, customer and carrier experience, as well as carrier relationships.
Doug holds a master's degree in Finance and a bachelor's degree in Finance & Economics, both from Rockhurst University.
Tracy Kenison joined Freightquote in December of 1999 as a sales representative. Named a 2009 Ingram's Rainmaker, Tracy has been valuable in many roles of sales management, as well as a standout individual contributor. With that combination, he brings a unique skill set and understanding to his current role.
Tracy helps create and implement strategic sales initiatives. He is responsible for growing and developing Freightquote's sales staff, along with leading his sales force in exceeding company objectives.
Tracy holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Kansas State University.
Julie Schaller, an experienced and recognized Human Resources leader of more than 20 years, joined Freightquote in February 2014.
Julie is responsible for leading Freightquote's Human Resources function which includes recruiting and hiring, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits along with organization and culture development.
Prior to joining Freightquote, Julie had most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for MidCountry Financial Corp. Before MidCountry, Julie held the position of Chief People Officer at Pioneer Financial Services. Under her leadership, Pioneer was twice recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in America by the Society of Human Resources Management.
Julie is a licensed Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.
In 2005 Heather Guerry joined the Freightquote team. Since then, she’s held roles of significant influence in IT, Truckload, Pricing, Sales Operations and LTL Logistics, all the while creating a track record of successful strategic roadmap creation and high-performance team building.
In Heather’s current role she drives strategic projects that move the organization toward overarching goals and also heads the ongoing integration work with C.H. Robinson. She works with stakeholders to create and execute on plans while assuring alignment and focus on organizational objectives.
Before joining Freightquote, Heather gained experience as a software developer. She learned execution alone didn't deliver as much gratification for her as laying out a plan and designing the solution. From there, she joined TouchNet Information Systems as an Implementation Specialist where she was able to play many roles, applying her project management, data analysis and leadership skills.
Heather holds a master’s degree in Business from Baker University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
