Freightquote takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Challenge accepted! Fellow Kansas City based company Perceptive Software challenged Freightquote to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last week. Our first-place Corporate Challenge team stepped up and accepted. Along with the ice-cold bath, a donation was made to ALS from Freightquote. We challenged Burns & McDonnell, AMC Theatres and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City to take the challenge as well. Check out the video below!

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a social media fundraising campaign where participants are challenged to record themselves dumping a bucket of ice water on their head and post it to social media and make a donation to ALS research. At Freightquote, we believe that Community Matters and are active in supporting various charities and giving back in the Kansas City area.

Freightquote supports KCK RBI & Trent Green Family Foundation

Today, Monday December 16, 2013, Freightquote announces sponsorship of Trent Green Family Foundation in the morning and hosts holiday dinner for 200 KCK RBI children in the evening.

   To announce Freightquote’s sponsorship of the Trent Green Family Foundation, former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Trent Green, Chiefs cheerleaders and KC Wolf will surprise Freightquote employees by handing out donuts Monday morning. The Trent Green Family Foundation develops and supports family-focused programs that improve the health and wellness, education, and futures of thousands of Kansas City-area children in need.

KCK RBI Recognition and Holiday Dinner
Executive director of KCK RBI and Freightquote employee Cle Ross, along with his employer, Freightquote, founding sponsor of the league, will host a dinner to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of more than 200 urban children who participate in the program. KCK RBI, the first and only RBI league in Kansas, is a 45-team baseball league with more than 750 players. The children and league organizers will enjoy Gates Bar B.Q.

KCK RBI is the only little league in the state of Kansas affiliated with Major League Baseball.

Freightquote: At home in Kansas City

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Kansas City Mayor Sly James joined Freightquote executives to officially open the new headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the facility. The 200,000 square foot space located in South Kansas City was custom built to accommodate up to 2,000 employees.

Halfway there: Freightquote’s new HQ is making progress

We are still on pace for the new building to be completed by June 2013. The new 200,000 square foot, Freightquote Headquarters, will be located in Kansas City, MO off I-435 and Stateline. We are excited to share the progression of our new site!  See below for pictures of the progress that has been made thus far.
