Freightquote.com Announces Rockwell Acquisition

Freightquote.com today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Rockwell Transportation Services, a Perkasie, Pennsylvania-based transportation brokerage provider specializing in truckload, less than truckload and intermodal solutions for a wide variety of shippers.

Brands Will Remain Separate

In 2005, Freightquote.com acquired Twin Modal, another transportation brokerage based in Minneapolis. Freightquote has continued to operate Twin Modal as an independent company and brand, and plans to follow a similar strategy with Rockwell. “Each brand has effectively served a specific customer segment,” remarked Barton, “so we will continue to invest in these individual brands.” Synergies will come in the form of sharing technology and administrative capabilities between the various brands, while the customer experience for each brand remains intact.
