Tim Barton

Chairman and CEO

Entrepreneur Tim Barton founded Freightquote.com® in August of 1998. Tim's accomplishments have been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine listing him in the top five of their Hot 100 ranking; Ernst and Young with Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes Magazine among their Best of the Web rankings, and most recently by Ingram’s Magazine as one of Kansas City’s Best Places to Work For.

Employing a sales force of more than 300 people, Freightquote.com is serious about growth. In addition to organic growth, it acquired Twin Modal in 2005 and Rockwell Transportation Services in 2006. Not limiting growth to the U.S., Freightquote.com opened an office in Dublin, Ireland in late 2006 and is planning aggressive expansion throughout Europe.

In 2008, Freightquote.com grew to over $400 million in revenues and more than 800 employees.

Tim holds an MS in Finance from LSU and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

Shawn McCarrick

COO / CIO

Shawn McCarrick joined Freightquote.com as the Chief Information Officer in October 2006 and assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in January 2009. As COO / CIO, Shawn is responsible for Freightquote’s Operations and Technology functions as well Freightquote’s subsidiaries, Rockwell Transportation Services and Twin Modal, Inc.

Shawn has been instrumental in moving the company forward on many fronts including technology management, integration, process re-engineering, and overall technology management. His business acumen and strong technology skills continue to make a meaningful impact on our freight business.

Shawn has a BS in Computer Information Systems from Central Missouri State University and over twenty years of experience in delivering IT business solutions to large organizations. He was the Division Information Officer within the US Tax Division of H&R Block prior to joining Freightquote.com. His drive for continual improvement, approach to team building, and speed to execution continue to be instrumental to Freightquote’s growth.

Abbey Caton

Vice President of Finance

Abbey joined the company in November 2006. As Vice President of Finance, Abbey is responsible for all financial aspects of the company which include accounting policies, financial reporting and related controls, compliance matters, budgeting and planning, & insurance.

Abbey brings over ten years of leadership experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining the company, Abbey was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG, primarily serving publically traded transportation companies.

Abbey holds a BS in Accounting/Business Administration and a Masters in Accountancy, both from Kansas State University.

Luanne Eskew

Vice President of Human Resources

Luanne Eskew joined Freightquote.com as VP of Human Resource in June 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources for the company including performance management, recruiting, benefits & compensation, training & development and HR compliance.

Prior to joining Freightquote.com, Luanne was a Senior Executive with Accenture where she was responsible for the operations of their North American HR Outsourcing business delivering HR services to over ten clients and 150,000 employees. She has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources arena.

Luanne holds an MBA in Finance from George Washington University and a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Trent Flanary

Vice President of Sales

Trent Flanary was one of the company's earliest members, joining Freightquote.com in April of 2000. He contributes over 8 years of sales and management experience to Freightquote.com, and is responsible for managing the company's large and diverse sales organization.

Trent is a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Missouri.

Doug Grojean

Vice President of Business Solutions

Doug Grojean joined the company in November, 2000. He contributes more than 10 years of Information Technology, Business Analysis and Operational Management experience to Freightquote.com and has been instrumental in supporting the company’s growth and development over the years. As Vice President of Business Solutions, Doug is responsible for corporate analytics, development and delivery of technology products, infrastructure stability and scalability, customer pricing and marketing functions.

Doug holds a MBA in Finance and BSBA in Finance & Economics, both from Rockhurst University.

Lori Wittman

Vice President of Customer Operations

Lori Wittman joined Freightquote.com in March of 2007. As Vice President of Customer Operations, Lori is responsible for Service Delivery and Customer Service, two key areas of the business that support Freightquote’s carriers and shippers. While building synergies between the two, she oversees all delivery processes including LTL shipment dispatching and tracking, truckload brokerage and shipment management, carrier on-boarding, and the customer contact center.

Prior to joining Freightquote.com, Lori served in management roles at both H&R Block and Andersen Consulting. She has over 18 years of experience in the areas of general management, IT, operations and process change.

Lori holds a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
