Shipping freight internationally is easy with Freightquote. Below is a diagram to show you how international freight works.

In both cases your freight will be loaded onto a truck first and then onto the appropriate port or airport.

After either shipping by ocean or shipping by air internationally, you can have your freight picked up at the port or have another truck drive it to your location.

Types of container shipping

Freightquote gives both ocean and air freight quotes to most countries around the globe. There are a few different ways to ship internationally.

Full container (FCL)

Containers come in many different sizes. With this mode of shipping, you use the entire container for your shipment. If you have lots of freight to move, this is your best choice. No one else’s freight is combined with yours.

Less-than-container (LCL)

LCL freight, just like LTL, is where we combine your freight with other freight to fill up a full container. If you only have a few pallets or crates to ship, this is much more economical because you don’t have to space you don’t need.

Ocean freight

Shipping by boat overseas is usually more economical then air, however transit times are much longer.

International air freight

Freight shipping by air is faster but more expensive

Freightquote provides you LCL or FCL quotes by both ocean and air so you can see side by side the cost differences. You can then pick whatever way you want!
