Entrepreneur Tim Barton founded Freightquote.com® in August of 1998. Tim's accomplishments have been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine listing him in the top five of their Hot 100 ranking; Ernst and Young with Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes Magazine among their Best of the Web rankings, and most recently by Ingram’s Magazine as one of Kansas City’s Best Places to Work For.

Employing a sales force of more than 300 people, Freightquote.com is serious about growth. In addition to organic growth, it acquired Twin Modal in 2005 and Rockwell Transportation Services in 2006. Not limiting growth to the U.S., Freightquote.com opened an office in Dublin, Ireland in late 2006 and is planning aggressive expansion throughout Europe.

In 2008, Freightquote.com grew to over $400 million in revenues and more than 800 employees.

Tim holds an MS in Finance from LSU and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

Shawn McCarrick joined Freightquote.com as the Chief Information Officer in October 2006. Shawn is responsible for all IT development & infrastructure functions as well as providing operational leadership for Freightquote’s Service Delivery, Customer Service, Operations, & Corporate Analytics/Marketing departments.

Shawn has been instrumental in delivering and driving adoption of numerous operational and sales development programs. Prior to coming to Freightquote.com, Shawn compiled over eighteen years of experience in delivering IT business solutions to large organizations. Most recently, he held the Division Information Officer position in the US Tax Division of H&R Block.

Shawn holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Central Missouri State University.

Jason Beer joined the company in November of 1999. He contributes more than 15 years of operations, sales, and management experience to Freightquote.com. Jason’s responsibilities include carrier development and relations, supplier process and performance management, and establishing new markets.

Jason is accomplished in general areas of operation, including sales, sales management, carrier relations, customer service, contract negotiation, account retention, strategic alliances, and business mergers. Prior to joining Freightquote.com, he held similar positions within the telecommunications industry.

Jason is a graduate of Pittsburgh State University in Kansas.

Luanne Eskew joined Freightquote.com as VP of Human Resource in June 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources for the company including performance management, recruiting, benefits & compensation, training & development and HR compliance.

Prior to joining Freightquote.com, Luanne was a Senior Executive with Accenture where she was responsible for the operations of their North American HR Outsourcing business delivering HR services to over ten clients and 150,000 employees. She has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources arena.

Luanne holds an MBA in Finance from George Washington University and a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Lori Wittman joined the company in March of 2007. She is responsible for all delivery processes which include LTL shipment dispatching and tracking, truckload brokerage and shipment management, carrier on-boarding, and pricing.

Prior to joining Freightquote.com, Lori served in management roles at both H&R Block and Andersen Consulting. She has over 18 years of experience in the areas of general management, IT, operations and process change.

Lori holds a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

Trent Flanary was one of the company's earliest members, joining Freightquote.com in April of 2000. He contributes over 8 years of sales and management experience to Freightquote.com, and is responsible for managing the company's large and diverse sales organization.

Trent is a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Missouri.
